Simone’s gone to SC for at least a few months, and I can feel the desperate-for-company aura oozing in. The cats especially.. no fighting, mewling for dinner, climbing on my lap. I miss them already.
I put some work up on Deviantart. I’ve gotten a steady amount of views so far. Whether it’ll amount to much or not remains to be seen, but there’s not much to lose and already it’s more than I’ve gotten on Etsy in the same time frame. I had an old Deviant account there 6 or 7 years ago, but because you really have to dig through the bad fan art/ponies/teenangst stuff to find the good art, it didn’t really interest me then. To that extent, it still doesn’t really. I’ve found a couple of artists and some pieces I like, but after about 10 minutes of sifting through high school art class projects and “paintings” done digitally, it loses its fun. So, yeah.. it’s another internet hallway to hang things, and there’s an option to sell prints through the site which I might explore soon, and both of those are fine reasons. I just wish it were a little more professional. Or maybe there’s a similar but more professional site I just haven’t run into yet.
