I haven’t quit yet.
The last few days were actually fairly pleasant. I applied to a number of non-work study campus jobs. Three require an actual resume (for a student job? What the fuck.) which I haven’t bothered to find in my files, three more require some sort of generic (for up to five jobs at a time!) interview, between 12 and 4 pm or by appointment. No word on the other 3 or 4.
I’m still finishing the loan worksheets, although I can probably get by without a loan or a paycheck. At this point, it’d be nice to hear something from anyone- either a job, a yes or no on a possible commision, Germany, the possibility of a raise…. anything.
Tomorrow is the annual pre-rush meeting. I’ve been intending to ask Jim whether I’ve screwed myself out of the potential new position by declining the evening shift, or if there’s any chance of getting at least 8.75 (haha, there’s not. I know it, but I still feel like I need to cover my bases). Frankly, if I’m jumping ship, I’d prefer to do it before all the mandatory bullshit happens. We’ll see.
